Liberal Alternate reality

Liberal's Alternate Reality

There was a posting in our local paper today claiming vote for Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE) is a shining example of the hyperbole and talking points used by the liberals without any substance or support by facts. That seems to be the general trend among liberals anyway, breathless hate speech and complete inaccuracies stated as undeniable facts. This wacko claimed everything from our constituional rights were being dismantled to Congress having rolled over and abdicated to King W. Wow. What are they drinking over there on the left?

Let's see, "dismantling our Constitutional protections", hmmm, the last I checked the 4th Amendment was still alive and very well as it applies to US citizens, for whom it is exclusively intended. Its protections do not extend to enemy combatants fighting against our military or terrorists captured on the battlefield. Same with the Geneva convention as it applies to non-state sanctioned combatants, it DOESN'T apply. It was never meant to apply to cowards who hide among civilians, don't wear uniforms, represent no country and only target civilians as their prime targets. It dealt with members of the armed forces of another nation, but even so, never once has the administration advocated outright torture as a permissible interrogation tool. Not that you would ever know that from listening to the left. I don't recall stories about electrocutions, or starvation, or mutilations, or other forms of torture as has been commonly accepted by civilized societies. Apparently if we ask pretty please and the terrorist refuses to divulge the target of the next attack, anything more would be torturing the poor devil. Nice that the left is more concerned about establishing constitutional protections for terrorists than it is in winning the fight against them. Do they really think the terrorists will just go away if we are nice to them? Are they truly that naive?

Abdicating congresses role to an incompetent imperial executive?? Hardly seems to be the case when the left consistently attempts to block any measures to increase our safety or security, the Patriot Act, the foreign surveillance act, the surveillance of bank transactions to known terror organizations, listening in to terrorists cell calls, and whining about the “inhumane” conditions of Gitmo, where the average prisoner has gained weight thanks to all the variety of foods and snacks they are provided. The left lives in an alternate reality where everything is political and their only interest is how to exploit it for their political power and to get back into power. They are devoid of ideas, principles or strength. They offer nothing but objections, criticisms. Hack-kneed talking points and outright untruths and distortions.

Much as their reaction to the whole Foley scandal. Aside from their outright hypocrisy based on the left’s reactions when it is one of theirs caught actually have sex with underage male pages, there is no evidence whatsoever that the speaker was involved in any sort of cover up. Even if they had of Foley’s email antics through the vine, the person he was talking to was over 18 and entitled to his own privacy and right to be gay. So where exactly is the pedophile talk coming from. And this from the party that supported gay scoutmasters taking boys into the woods on camping trips! And the party that gave an actual pedophile member of congress 3 standing ovations after his censure, and who was re-elected several times, because after all, his private life was his private life, and who were these homophobes on the right to make an issue out of his sexuality!! Please, drop the MoveOn talking points and get a grip on reality and open your eyes to the dangers the world is facing, the stakes involved, and ask yourself do you honestly believe you’d trust people like Pelosi, Murtha, Conyers, and the like to be anywhere near holding power over your security? I certainly don’t.
